SHOP LIFE | The shop has had a lovely spring clean and feels super fresh. I love that first hour of the day when the sun shines through into the shop and you get the gorgeous glow on the unwrapped soaps. Colour is something that I have always been drawn to, and seeing my very own shop looking like a rainbow is one of those small pleasures in life. We’re back to being open everyday from 10am so make sure to pop in and say hi and stock up on all your essentials. Unwrapped soaps are definitely not in short supply at the moment! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀#shoplife #myindieshop #mycorner #supportlocal #supportindependent #madebyhand #madelocally #yourlocalhighstreet See MoreSee Less

Llangoed Reserves 1 Rob Boyes ⚽️ Clwb Pel-Droed Nefyn Unedig Reserves 3 Carwyn Trenholme ⚽️ Lionel Thornicroft ⚽️ Guto Sion Roberts ⚽️ Our Reserves played their first match in two months today and put up a good fight against Nefyn who will no doubt be up the top of the table come the end of the season. The first half was superb from the home side and the intensity of play was probably the best it’s been in any of their matches so far this season. The constant pressure from Llangoed paid off when Def Parry powered his way through before finding Rob Boyes who handed us the lead 25mins in.We then had a goal ruled out soon after – a mistake from the Nefyn keeper saw him fumble the ball before Dêf Parry seemingly put the ball into the back of the net. But his effort was ruled out as he was adjudged to have knocked the ball out of the keeper’s grasp – a somewhat controversial call. However, despite us being on top, Nefyn found a way back into the tie through a freak goal. A cross from Carwyn Trenholme found its way into the back of the net, looping over debutante goalkeeper George Dymond in the Llangoed net.HT: 1-1After the brilliant first half for Llangoed, the second half saw Nefyn take complete control and eventually go onto win the game. The visitors did well to pin us back in our own half often and eventually found a breakthrough through a good finish from Lionel Thornicroft with 20mins left on the clock. The tie was done and dusted in the dying minutes when Guto Sion Roberts converted a penalty. As always, the Reserves showed great heart and will feel they should have gone onto get something out of the game but that’s football. There was some brilliant performances from the lads in there today and to think they’ve gone 8 weeks without a game they more than held their own against a side who took a point away at the league leaders Penmaenmawr just last week. Onto the next one now v Kinmel Bay next weekend! 👍🏻⚽️SQUADGeorge DymondJosh RoydsKieran FritterAshley DaviesJack WilliamsKieron DaviesBen WilliamsLiam RobertsRob BoyesDêf ParryJoe DoohanSUBSDylan RobertsAnthony WilliamsLeo BardenTom HughesMan of the Match – Robert Boyes (below) awarded by LlangoedLiam Roberts awarded by Nefyn Utd See MoreSee Less

Bodorgan 0 – 0 Llangoed FCLots of changes to today’s team. Despite the lack of goals, today’s match was end to end stuff with both teams having some excellent chances. For Llangoed, Rhys had a very good game and made an excellent penalty save (which was never a penalty). Ashley Davies was outstanding as centre back but Harry Gregson just pipped him to the Man of the match today. Thanks to Bodorgan for a good match.Next week we face Llanystumdwy at home. Can anyone help. Last night, between 6.30pm and 7.30pm someone set a fire in one of our dugouts causing damage to the wooden bench. The club has worked hard to raise money to improve facilities at the ground over the last few years for the benefit of everyone so it is very disheartening that a small, anti-social group feel it is fun to damage club equipment. This has been reported to the police. If anyone has any information, could you message us on the club Facebook page please. Thank you. See MoreSee Less

𝐋𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐨𝐞𝐝’𝐬 𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐫 𝐎’𝐍𝐞𝐢𝐥𝐥 "𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝" 𝐛𝐲 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥. Llangoed have made a name for themselves, giving young players the opportunity of playing senior football. With 5 of their 11 starting slots made up of players 17 years or younger, its clear to see manager David Thomas’ ambitions going forward. The most recent graduate from their youth system being the excellent Sam Gregson, who recently moved onto Bodedern Athletic FC, where he has featured heavily in their push for the Tier 4 title. Another one of the many talents that is reaping the rewards of the clubs ethos is 16-year-old defensive talent Connor O’Neill. A towering player standing 6ft 4". He plys his trade at the centre of the defence and is most known for his energetic and aggressive displays at the back. Along with catching the eye of many with his displays for Llangoed he has also impressed and made his way into Marc Lloyd Williams’ Coleg Menai side, earning himself a place in the team. We spoke with Connor regarding the believe from the manager, inspiration of Sam Gregson and his ambitions for the future. He said: "There isn’t many teams and managers around these days that like to give young lads like myself the opportunity to show what they can do at senior level, so being given the opportunity to play week in week out is very exciting." "At the moment our season isn’t too bad, although we’ve lost more than we have won we are improving as a team every week, and to think we have a pretty young squad it isn’t going too bad." "I am very happy to have been given the opportunity to play for the College team this year, to play with some quality players and to be managed by Marc Lloyd Williams (Jiws) is a privelidge. It is also giving me a massive opportunity to improve as a player and go further into the sport." "(Sam Gregson’s story) It inspires me to try and better myself as a player and push myself to go as far as I can in the sport and play at the highest standard I possibly can. A player like Sam is a great role model for that." "My ambitions for the future is to play at a high standard and try to better myself as a player. I would also like to try and play alongside my brothers in the future who also have a great potential to be good footballers." See MoreSee Less

⚽️ RESERVES GET THE WIN 👏🏻⚽️Llangoed Reserves 5Kinmel Bay Reserves 0Llangoed Reserves are off the mark in the North Wales Coast Reserves Division, picking up their first 3 points of the season with a convincing 5-0 victory over Kinmel Bay Football Club Reserves. Both teams went into the tie without a win in the league in what was their fourth match of the 21/22 season. The Puffins were off to a flier with the opening goal scored in just the second minute of the match. Roberts Boyes’ fantastic cross into the box finding Joe Doohan who headed home his third goal of the season, placing him as our top scorer.Llangoed didn’t take the foot off the throttle their either and created chance after chance for themselves, with the visitors struggling to find a way through our solid midfield. It was 2-0 15mins in when a Kieron Davies cross into the box found Boyes whose header hit the crossbar before falling to Wayne Thomas who fired home to double the advantage. The visitors greatest chance of the first half was from a free kick which sailed just over the heads of two players at the back post.HT: 2-0In the second half, Llangoed continued to push for that third goal, all the while being patient with their build-up play. The defining moment came when Anthony Williams was introduced to the field just before the hour mark. The pacey forward made an immediate impact and found space in behind to finish wel for 3-0.The momentum was well and truly with Llangoed at this point and they looked comfortable on the ball, playing their best football to date this season especially in the middle of the park.Dion Taylor had a goal ruled out from a corner having been adjudged to foul the keeper before newly-appointed Reserves Captain Liam Roberts was on hand to make it 4-0 with a powerful finish from just inside the box following some fantastic play on 70mins.Daniel Owen and Wayne Thomas both went close to adding a fifth before Kieron Davies (below) did just that – getting on the end of a perfect corner delivered in by substitute Luke Rushton-Davis in the dying moments of the match.A dominant display from the Reserves and a clean sheet to go with the 3 points which moves them up to 6th in the league on goal difference.Next up is a tough test away to league-leaders Penmaenmawr Phoenix! A big thank you must go to Kinmel Bay also who kept the away changing rooms spotless after the match. Top class from them.
